RSS
RSS - what is it?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is an easy way of receiving automatic updates about new items on your favourite websites.
How do I use it?
To access RSS feeds, you need a news reader or 'aggregator', which will allow you to check lots of different feeds at the same time and show you the updates in one place. There are many websites (eg Bloglines) that offer online news readers or you can download and install software applications (eg SharpReader).
Alternatively you can set up a personalised Google home page to receive feeds: from the default Google home page, click on the 'Personalised Home' link. You can then 'Add stuff', either by selecting from the suggestions offered or by typing in URLs of your choice.
